Three Toed Sloth, Costa Rica

Three toed sloth, Cahuita National Parque, Costa Rica. Nikon d300 with 18-200mm lens.

This image of the three toed sloth was made on a rainy day in Costa Rica. The surf was up and we were on a beach at the entrance to a park. Here’s a few more images of the surroundings.

This building is right at the entrance to the Cahuita national Parque, on the Caribbean side. Cahuita retains its Jamaican roots, which is where they imported the workers from  for the construction of the Railroad many years ago.

You can get there by bus from Porto Limon. Busses run everywhere. We ended up taking nine on our week there during the Christmas Holidays. More info at bobgry@aol.com
