I was born and raised in Erie, Pa and this is where my journey in photography began. In my teens I was hired by a studio photographer to assist him in his studio. This exposure to the elements of studio work and the darkroom began an interest in photography. What really challenged me to expand and improved my work was meeting a professional photographer in the late 1990’s and become close friends. Since that day he has become my teacher and mentor. In the last four years I have received positive and supportive feedback from family, friends, and other photographers about my ability to capture Mother Nature. Nature photography, in its broadest sense, has become an important part of my life, and I enjoy sharing my view of the beauty of nature that surrounds us. — Chuck Coburn
